This stream walks you through Value Stream Mapping and every production stage in detail: raw-material intake and preparation; twisting and ply formation; dyeingand rinsing; bonding and lubrication; polishing for surface consistency; final winding to defined package geometry; and packaging with correct labeling, traceability, and storage. You’ll learn how Operator SSM supports standard work, skills deployment, and safe machine operation; how material flows and handovers are organized; and where in-process controls (samples, lab tests, visual checks) verify quality against specifications. The outcome: you’ll understand how value is created end-to-end, which KPIs matter at each step, and how your decisions influence cost, lead time, and customer satisfaction—so you can strengthen flow, prevent defects, reduce waste, and elevate product quality.

AMANN UK’s Value Stream shows how we turn raw material into reliable, on-spec thread for our customers through a simple, cell-based flow. This Learning Nugget helps everyone see the whole picture and understand what each department does and why it matters. We start in Twisting, where Cells 1–3 build strength and consistency, complete dye prep and packing, and release only after quality checks.
